The Wireless and Optoelectronic Research and Innovation Centre (WORIC) which is based at the Faculty of Computing, Engineering & Science at the University of South Wales, is seeking an experienced software developer research assistant to work on a A4B funded Proof of Concept project in collaboration with industry, mainly Keima Wireless, an international Cardiff based radio planning company.
The main objective of this role is the implementation of the Matlab to C# translation as a plug-in to Overture Radio Planning tool and as a stand-alone executable code. Additionally the candidate will perform code optimization, parallel computing programming, cloud computing and product testing activities for a developed 3D ray-tracing radio planning model designed for 4G small cell applications. The successful applicant will have a degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science with a minimum of two years work experience and good knowledge of radio planning and wireless technologies.
